Students from St. Francis of Assisi Montessori School of Cainta perform cheerdance routines and team presentations during SIGLAKAS Family Sports Day 2026, along with fun games like bumper balls, basketball, volleyball, and cheer performances.

Last March 14, 2026, the St. Francis of Assisi Montessori School of Cainta community joyfully celebrated one of the most anticipated highlights of the school yearβ€”SIGLAKAS Family Sports Day 2026, the grand culmination of a week-long sports festival filled with excitement, teamwork, and Franciscan school spirit.

Here is the video montage of our Siglakas 2026 activities!

Derived from the words Sigla (energy) and Lakas (strength), SIGLAKAS is more than just a sports event. It is a meaningful school tradition that brings together students, parents, teachers, and families in a celebration of unity, perseverance, friendship, and healthy competition. Throughout the week, learners from Preschool to Junior High School participated in various tournaments and activities that encouraged both athletic excellence and character development.

From volleyball and basketball matches to chess and Scrabble competitions, students demonstrated discipline, teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Each event highlighted not only their growing skills but also their confidence and determination as members of their respective teams.

A Celebration with a Musical Theme 🎡

Adding color and excitement to this year’s SIGLAKAS celebration was its lively music-inspired team theme, which gave each group its own identity, rhythm, and personality:

Strengthening the Franciscan Spirit Through Sports and Family Participation

More than medals and trophies, SIGLAKAS Family Sports Day represents the heart of the Franciscan learning experience. It provides students with opportunities to grow in confidence, cooperation, leadership, and resilience while strengthening friendships and deepening their connection with the school community.

The presence and participation of parents made the celebration even more meaningful. Through cheering competitions, family games, and shared moments of joy and encouragement, families became active partners in creating a vibrant and supportive learning environment for their children.

In the spirit of Cura Personalis, or care for the whole person, SIGLAKAS continues to nurture not only physical strength but also character, teamwork, and a sense of community belonging among our learners.

Congratulations to all students, parents, teachers, and teams who made SIGLAKAS Family Sports Day 2026 a joyful and memorable celebration of energy, unity, and Franciscan pride. We look forward to many more years of growing stronger togetherβ€”with sigla and lakas! πŸŽ‰
