News and Updates: 2010 High School Recollection

St. Francis of Cainta held a Recollection Activity last February 6, 2010 in the La Verna Building. Rev. Fr. Dom Dustan Ma Candol or Dom Charles headed the event and it was participated by all high school students.

In accordance with the mission of integrating core values, the school conducted a recollection for the students to rejuvenate their interest in significant matters in life. Fr. Dom enlightened the students in the importance of prayer. He explained the meaning of “retrieve silence” and how to gain it. He made emphasis of man’s responsibility of becoming a good person. He had captured the hearts of the students when he had touched the topic about their family. He encouraged them to revive their relationships with their parents. At the end of the activity, each student received a surprise letter from his parents. The hall was filled with sentiment as each of them read the messages from their loved ones.

News and Updates: 2010 Parent Teacher Conference

Rev. Dom Danstan Ma. Candol teaches the parents of St. Francis Cainta the importance of their role in their children’s moral and spiritual growth


Last January 30, 2010 the Third Parent Teacher Conference for the grade school and high school department and the Second Parenting Seminar was held at the 3rd floor of La Verna building at Saint Francis of Assisi Montessori School of Cainta. It was attended by majority of the parents and assisted by the teachers with the theme “Family: The Seedbed of Love”. The parenting seminar was the highlight of the activity and the topic was thoroughly discussed by the invited guest speaker, Rev. Dom Danstan Ma. Candol, a monk from St. Benedictine monastery and a teacher by profession at San Beda College. Rev. Dom stressed out the importance of the home and the school as the major institutions of molding a value-laden individuals and where love starts.
